Fine Modern Retail
Highly curated specialty retail and restaurants, spanning the first and second floors-complete with generously-sized, immaculately landscaped common areas and inviting terraces with amazing views of the mature tree-canopies and downtown Austin.
Two floors of thoughtfully selected retail and dining establishments line the perimeter of the numerous courtyards and passages that punctuate the site’s central mass.
The breezy, verdant spaces intuitively support a pedestrian network that brings a human scale and sense of domestic comfort across the 2.5 acres. From sun-up to sun-down, the cumulative expression of these curated store‑fronts will draw visitors seeking an experience that is equally sophisticated as it is eclectic.

The Hotel at
Sixth&Blanco -
Informed by Herzog & de Meuron’s expression of contemporary southwestern motifs, each room indulges guests with custom furniture and fixtures, and a private terrace, all floating in the tree canopy of Austin’s most desirable neighborhood.

“The project is a complex sum
of its many individual parts.”
— Herzog & de Meuron -
“Sixth&Blanco’s architecture pays homage to the site’s context by seamlessly blending into Clarksville’s vernacular. Yet, Sixth&Blanco remains entirely distinctive and stands apart from its surroundings. We used bold simple gestures for the project, starting at the street level, to establish an imaginative link between the site and the street.
These oversized elements allow us to generate a multitude of internal spaces at the project, catering to both private and public needs, that will serve a diverse array of purposes and functions for the community, residents, and guests as they enjoy and use Sixth&Blanco for years to come.”
